چکیده

In this paper, we present the ER-MCDA methodology for multi-criteria decision-making based on imperfect information coming from more or less reliable and conflicting sources. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP ), Fuzzy Sets, Possibility and Belief Functions theories are combined to take a decision based on imprecise and uncertain evaluations of quantitative, qualitative criteria. Classical aggregation of criteria is replaced by a two-step fusion process using advanced fusion rules based on the Dezert-Smarandache Theory (DSmT) that allows to make a difference between importance, reliability and uncertainty of information sources and contents.

New Belief Functions based methods for multicriteria decision making

Any decision is closely linked to the quality and availability of information. Innovative methodologies are proposed to help decisions based on imperfect information provided by more or less reliable and conflicting sources in uncertain context. These methods combine new uncertainty theories and multicriteria decision making. The ER-MCDA methodology associates the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AH...

A Spatially Explicit Approach for Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analysis of GIS-Multicriteria Landslide Susceptibility Mapping

GIS multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) methods are increasingly being used in landslide susceptibility mapping for the prediction of future hazards, decision making, as well as hazard mitigation plans. However, the uncertainties associated with MCDA techniques are inevitable and model outcomes are prone to multiple types of uncertainty. In this paper, the spatiality explicitly method is emp...

Effects of increasing fuzziness on analytic hierarchy process for spatial multicriteria decision analysis

Multicriteria decision analysis (MCDA) involves techniques which relatively recently have received great increase in interest for their capabilities of solving spatial decision problems. One of the most frequently used techniques of MCDA is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In the AHP, decision-makers make pairwise comparisons between different criteria to obtain values of their relative import...

Decision Support Tools for Natural Hazards Management under Uncertainty New Approaches Based on Multicriteria Decision Analysis and Evidential Reasoning

The natural risks management process involves several temporal steps (preparedness, mitigation, crisis management, recovery...) and spatial zones (triggering, propagation and deposition or extension areas). Decision support systems are expected to help the experts, the risk managers, the local authorities to take difficult decisions often based on imperfect information provided by more or less ...

Development, test and comparison of two Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) models: A case of healthcare infrastructure location

When planning a new development, location decisions have always been a major issue. This paper examines and compares two modelling methods used to inform a healthcare infrastructure location decision. Two Multiple Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) models were developed to support the optimisation of this decision-making process, within a National Health Service (NHS) organisation, in the UK. Th...
